Long Beach Unwind
Nothing like a cashing in some frequent flyer miles to go warm up and unwind for a few days. My mom rents a beach cottage every winter to escape the Seattle gray. Lucky for me she just happen to mention she would be gone for a week and offered me the space. I arrived welcomed with 70 degree Long Beach weather and kept an eye on the sandpipers, waves and seashells. Most of my time was spent walking on the beach, scouring local thrift spots and working on some upcoming projects including a foreward for a book being published in 2012 by the Smithsonian and a photo zine for Hamburger Eyes.

That sounds like the ideal vacation! Beach, thrifting, and quiet! What a wonderful opportunity to relax. :)
