Stockholm: day 4 + 5
But seriously, check out that beer in that birds hand?
Pizza served uncut, eaten with knife & fork, always.
My old friend Sven who I know from Minneapolis in the late 9o's took me to his work space & shop where he does pin stripping, sign painting and design work. He is also the president of the Stockholm chapter of the Black Label Bike Club.
I was in Sweden to lecture about DIY craft and activism to members of the Swedish Craft Council and industry folk at the Modern Art Museum in Stockholm. I learned about what I found to be the very confusing Sloyd and it's importance within Swedish heritage.
The fantastic Dr. Otto Von Busch who spoke before me at the conference
The reception after the conference.
Detail of Nille Svensson's "Fake China" on exhibit at the Modern Museum
On very little sleep I parted ways with Sweden to arrive home in time for my 33rd birthday.
Entire photo set from Sweden can be found here
