During my trip to San Francisco this week I got a chance to go to Monica Canilao's studio in Oakland. I've worked with Monica at Paper Boat in the past and am a huge fan of her artwork. Her recent body of work for a show coming up this summer at Space 1026 in Philly includes all of these amazing headdresses that I got to photograph on her.

Thurman (9 year old son of Micaela) had his second art opening ever on July 5th. The first one was when he was 4.

He made over $80 in sales at his show.
